How do we install your Connect Fibre connection?

A guide to our installation process.

Here’s a simple, step-by-step guide to how we’ll install your new Connect Fibre network:

  1. Pre-install visit: Don’t worry, you won’t even know we’re there! We won’t need access to your home for this step.

  2. Installation day: Our engineer will knock on your door and get started. (an over 18 year will need be home)

  3. Fibre cable setup: The engineer will pull the fibre cable from the street to your home, either underground or overhead, depending on your connection.

  4. Drilling: We’ll drill a small hole in your wall (don’t worry, it’s tidy!) to install the necessary boxes.

  5. Installing the boxes: We’ll place one box on the outside of your wall and one inside your home. Make sure to let your engineer know where you’d like these to go ahead of time.

  6. Setting up your router: We’ll get your router up and running, and connect a few devices to make sure everything is working.

  7. Additional products: If you’ve ordered any extras, like a mesh system or TV setup, we’ll take care of that too.

  8. Final checks: Before we leave, we’ll run some speed tests around your home to make sure everything’s working as it should.
