How to request and setup using your own router on Connect Fibre's broadband service
Although we supply the latest Wi-Fi 6 routers that provide amazing speeds and range, some advanced customers may want to use their own router.
It is technically possible for customers to use their own routers. However, this is unsupported by Connect Fibre, and we accept no liability for any potential damage or loss to equipment or content.
How to configure your router for Connect Fibre's network
- Configure the WAN Port on your third party router to VLAN 101 and DHCP.
- If you are not sure how to do this, we advise seeking advise from the manufacturer of the router or stopping if you are not confident.
Certain equipment, depending on the brand, may require different settings. As we do not support third party equipment we will be unable to advise you of the correct settings. Please seek advise from the manufacturer if you are struggling!
