Connect Fibre in the Community
At Connect Fibre, we're equally commited to community activity as we are to providing top-notch broadband. We love being an integral part of the communities we serve, getting involved in local events, supporting worthy causes, and fostering connections that go beyond broadband. Here’s a glimpse into our recent community engagements and sponsorships, as well as some exciting developments on the horizon. Celebrating Local Events 🎪 Our presence in local events has been a cornerstone of connecting with our communities. Here are some highlights from our recent activities: Edwinstowe Cricket Club Euro Watch Party: We brought the community together at the local Cricket Club pavilion to get behind England as they took on Serbia in the Euros, powered by Connect Fibre TV. Wirksworth Carnival: Our fibre experts had the chance to join in the fun chat with residents at the Wirksworth Carnival. This annual festival has been running for more than 90 years and it was an honour to attend. Killamarsh Village Festival: We had the opportunity to join the Killamarsh Festival, where our experts Loz and Troy enjoyed engaging with the Killamarsh community through our fun, new spin-the-wheel game. Rayleigh Town Hall and Trinity Fair: These events were perfect opportunities to connect with residents and provide more information on how our network is progressing in the town. School Fayres: Our expert, Loz, had a wonderful time connecting with parents and teachers at both Friends of King Edwin (Edwinstowe) and Friends of St Helens School (Bluntisham) fayres. Wirksworth Market and Morrisons Meadowhead Day Out: These community hubs provided us with an opportunity to help residents learn more about our network in Wirksworth. Supporting with Sponsorships 🤝 Our commitment to the community extends to supporting local initiatives through sponsorships. Here’s how we’re making a difference: Sutton Cricket Club: We’re thrilled to renew our sponsorship and now proudly show our logo on their baggy caps. Bluntisham Beer Festival: As proud sponsors, we helped support the event as they raised over £600 profit for local initiatives in Bluntisham. Hawkwell FC Girls U10’s: Providing shirts and jackets to this talented team is just one way we support grassroots sports in your towns. Matthew Palmer’s Online Paint Along: This free event brought out the artist in everyone as Bolsover local Matthew taught us more on how to waterpaint. Killamarsh Active Ladies: Our sponsorship helped further establish this new team in Killamarsh set up in partnership with the Killamarsh Active Leisure Centre.
