Here at Connect Fibre, it's been a busy few months. Our connectors have been out and about all over the country, getting involved within our communities and showing their support.
From high-fives at first installations to lively discussions about all things full fibre broadband with residents, we've been excited to continue our work in towns we connect.
We thought we'd take a moment to reflect on the recent time we've spent in our communities. Why not check out some of the things we have been up to in your area below?
1. Carlton-in-Lindrick and Bawtry First Connections
We marked a significant milestone in January with our first installations in Carlton-in-Lindrick and Bawtry. Last month, we brought high-speed broadband to these areas and layed the foundations for improved digital connectivity for residents and businesses alike.
Our first customers in Carlton-in-Lindrick, James and Rob, were delighted to be connected and said: "We work from home and value reliable internet. Unlike our old provider, Connect Fibre's high speeds and affordable prices made it an ideal choice for us."
2. Collaborations with local YouTubers
Over the past month, we've also been delighted to partner with two talented YouTubers and streamers. Talented artist Matthew Palmer regularly creates demonstrations on how to paint your own watercolour paintings on his YouTube channel, whilst Thorne resident Jonathan Risdale is an up-and-coming gamer who streams 5 days a week on his channel The Kappa Convict. Both are also loving being connected to our 1000Mbps full fibre broadband and are already seeing the difference in download and upload speeds.
3. Fibre Experts out and about
Our experts hit the ground in Wirksworth, Tickhill, and South Woodham Ferrers recently, chatting and discussing with residents the benefits of our full-fibre broadband. Check out some of the places they visited in the images below:
4. Facebook Live Events
Recently, we hosted two engaging Facebook Live events in Hockley and Edwinstowe where residents got the chance to ask questions, learn about our full fibre broadband network in their area as well as gain insights into the transformative potential of high-speed internet connectivity.
From the area and missed the events? No problem click the links below to catch up on all the action from our Connector Joel's live event.
5. Supporting Local Talent
We were over the moon to see Connect Fibre sponsee, Lewis Dean, put in an incredible performance in the Honda inter-class at Wombell Karting last month, where he finished 1st in his second heat whilst also getting two 2nd place finishes on the day. Congratulations to Lewis and his team on a fantastic result!
