We're busy building our hyperfast network in your area.
You're here because our build team have been working on your street or in the area where you live and you want to know more, right?
This means you will soon be able to use our blisteringly fast full fibre broadband, installed all the way into your home.
Full fibre or Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) only uses fibre optic cables to deliver broadband, allowing speeds in excess of 1000 Mbps.
Other providers tend to use Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC). That means the faster fibre optic cables only go to a box on the street. Older, slower copper cables then take the connection the rest of the way.
ADSL technology only uses older Victorian copper cables.
Connect Fibre was created in 2019 to bring full fibre broadband to as many communities as possible.
We only offer full fibre broadband, with no copper wires in sight. All of our team are based in the UK, including our super friendly customer support team.
We are backed by Foresight Group, a major investment fund with over £8 Billion under management.
We are licenced by the telecoms regulator Ofcom which allows us to re-use where possible existing ducts and telegraph poles to install our full fibre network.
Only when this isn't possible will we carry out fresh construction work, where we work closely with local agencies to minimise any disruption and to ensure all work is carried out safely.
Connect Fibre’s mission is to deliver a fast, reliable and affordable full fibre broadband service to the communities that need it.
Our Design Planning Team make decisions based on the following principles, in order of
preference:
Probably not. We try to reuse existing underground network infrastructure, poles and ducts, as much as possible.
Connect Fibre takes a meticulous approach during the Design Planning phase to ensure our broadband deployment is seamless and community-friendly.
We thoroughly evaluate a number of factors to minimise any disruption
1. Existing Network Infrastructure Assessment
2. Assessment of Disruption to Utility Services
3. Telegraph Pole Consideration
We only need to typically install a few cabinets per town.
These metal cabinets are often located on footways, and normally do not need planning permission and are commonly covered by permitted development.
The opposite. Studies reveal that homes with a full fibre connection increase property value.
In alignment with the "permitted development" planning law, Connect Fibre can install communication equipment, including poles up to 15 metres in height (our typical poles are 8 to 10 metres in height), without the need for prior approval from the local council.
However, local councils may take enforcement action if new poles obstruct the highway or driveways.
