The Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will oversee financial operations, manage contracts, and ensure compliance within our dynamic organization.  

The ideal candidate will have experience in government grant reporting, telecoms, proficiency in Sage Intacct, knowledge of IFRS, and a strong eye for detail.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly / quarterly reporting of BDUK contracts, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions while maximizing financial opportunities.
  • Project Accounting ensuring the financial reporting of the contract are managed within the framework of the agreements and align to set accounting standards. 
  • Oversee and execute Government Grant reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submissions. 
  • Manage internal reporting tasks to all stakeholders – management, investors, and external bodies. 
  • Manage budget and forecasting activities for the project.  
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support telecom projects, leveraging financial expertise to optimize outcomes. 
  • Develop and maintain robust reporting systems for financial performance and contract compliance. 
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and mitigate financial risks. 
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory bodies as required. 
 

The Candidate

  • Proven experience in government grant reporting and Telecoms. 
  • Proficiency in Sage Intacct or similar accounting systems. 
  • Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). 
  • Strong analytical skills with a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities. 
  • Preferred Qualifications: Professional certifications (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, etc.) are advantageous. 
  • Experience in managing complex financial contracts. 
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in telecoms and grant reporting.
