We now seek a dynamic, ambitious individual to join our Delivery Team. 

 

The Role

As a “Connector” you will play a pivotal role in our mission to provide the UK with faultless broadband at unprecedented speeds. We have a revolutionary, premium, future-proof product that is fairer, faster, and flawless for our customers and as with all machines, we have a lot of moving parts (especially within the delivery team). We have created a Project Control Office to help to ensure our deliveries are successful, and as such we are hiring project professionals for this team to work as PCO Officers.

You will monitor progress and productivity of your assigned workstreams and are responsible for maintaining the governance models in place within the PCO, supporting each team to meet its objectives and leading to the overall delivery of our Projects on time, within budget and scope, in accordance with our Delivery Programme.

This is a highly responsible role within the delivery department; therefore, we require the role holder to have proven experience of working in a fast-paced environment, where they were responsible for managing and delivering complex projects and/or programmes.

You will act as a liaison between all relevant stakeholders and will be responsible for communicating progress, managing escalations, and producing detailed reports via approved reporting mechanisms, including but not limited to financial reporting, and project progress towards the objectives. 

 

As our Project Control Officer, you will be tasked with, but not limited to, items listed below:

  • Responsible for driving allocated workstreams to meet their objectives.
  • Ensuring all process and governance is adhered to.
  • Accountable for the delivery of the Projects within the Delivery Programme, delivered on time and within budget.
  • Supporting the PCO Manager in the running of the PCO function.
  • Identifying risks and issues ahead of time and proving solutions and mitigation plans
  • Limiting and managing the effects of Project change.
  • Using RAID methodology to monitor all internal and external risks.
  • Supervising resource management within the workstreams.
  • Supporting our Fibre Build Leads in running regular Project Review meetings with the Build Partners.
  • Interfacing with Local Authorities in Project areas to maintain positive relationships.
  • Stakeholder management across all Build Partners
  • Analysing and reporting on Build Partner performance and productivity.
  • Ensuring all Project Management Tools are maintained and organised.

The Candidate

We are looking for a seasoned project professional who will uphold the highest of standards in department and workstream project management. We require a charismatic and forward-thinking individual who can champion success and not be afraid to challenge the status quo.

  • You must be extremely competent in project management styles (Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid frameworks).
  • You must have proven experience in data management, portfolio management, process optimisation and change management.
  • Showcase experience in effectively managing the day-to-day operations of programmes, including overseeing all moving parts and intricacies.
  • Ability to champion successful delivery outcomes and adeptly manage programme stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals, outcomes, and reporting.
  • Demonstrate exceptional proficiency in data handling and report generation,
  • You will be astute, confident, professional, polite, and happy to work remotely.
  • You must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • You must have a forward thinking and pro-active approach to work.
  • You must be willing to travel occasionally to our offices/sites, when requested.
  • Experience using Monday.com beneficial.
  • You must be confident in challenging colleagues in a professional way to ensure accuracy of data and to keep the programme moving forward.
